Take your event to the next level

We are in unprecedented times and my heart aches every time I hear of a cancelled event. As a team, we know the effort put into events, the financial risk and the meticulous planning that goes into them.

In the midst of the pandemic, we are receiving multiple enquiries about streaming events. While our team are fit and healthy and if we are able work with you while observing social distancing rules, we are more than happy to assist you and feel this is a way to keep events alive and you engaged with your audience.

So instead of cancelling your event, why not stream it?

Take your zoom event to the next level
  1. Keep your audience engaged – people have actively committed to your event. Allow your audience to experience the content you had planned at the time they planned to consume it. Many event organisers have adopted platforms such as Zoom which allows for two-way audience participation through chat and voice/ video. Integrating pre-recorded video is another simple way to break up the monotony of one person in front of the camera during this period.
  2. Keep that slot you have carefully planned for that great speaker – Live streaming means, if necessary, we can even create a video link from the speaker’s own home.
  3. An exclusive perk for disappointed attendees or, an opportunity for a wider audience – There are several platforms which will allow you to control who attends your event which makes it easier to control who sees what you’re broadcasting. Alternatively, why not broadcast your event to the world? Red Shell Productions offers simultaneous streaming to most platforms imaginable. That means we can stream to Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Vimeo and more at the same time. While so many people are at home, there is an opportunity for new audiences too. They may even visit your event in person in the future.
  4. Zoom has grown quickly in popularity and is a great way for two-way engagement with your audience. The platform has security measures in place to control who attends your event and utilising our service for multi-angle events is a great way to increase audience engagement. We’ve made a quick video to briefly explore this further.
  5. We have the facility to live edit and stream in a different room to the room you’re presenting in, bring in guest speakers remotely and exercise social distancing on site.

So there you have it! Consider a bold alternative amongst the many other consideration I’m sure you’re having to make right now. Drop us an email on info@redshellproductions.co.uk. We are ensuring we offer the most competitive pricing as we know the whole industry is feeling it.

Time and Money Savings with Live Editing

You will always be able tell the difference between an unedited and edited video. Unedited footage is usually shaky with background sounds that shouldn’t be there. There is often no transitions or contain awkward transitions between scenes. Video editing can fix these to make your video feel like it was shot professionally.

Video editing can be a hassle, especially if you don’t have the hardware, software, or experience. It can also be a burden; especially if you/your client want the client to have the finished product immediately after the event has been filmed.

There are different ways to edit footage. The fastest method is a live edit which doesn’t go through a post-production process.

Here’s a quick look at the different editing processes, just to give you an idea how things work and how live editing differs from the other processes.

Video editing types

Film splicing – Technically this is not video editing, but film editing. This is also what is considered the oldest of all video editing processes. In film, splicing the footage is edited by cutting sections of the film and rearranging or discarding them. A splicing machine then allows film footage to be lined up and held in place while it is cut or spliced together.

Linear editing – In linear editing, the video is selectively copied from one tape to another. Segments from one tape are arranged as how a video editor sees fit the storyboard should run in the second tape. The second tape will become the final copy. It is called linear because it has to start with the first shot and follow a chronology until the last one.

Digital editing – In this method, video footage is saved to a computer hard drive and then edited using specialised software. After this is done, the finished product is recorded back to tape or optical disk. This is also called non-linear editing because the editor can work on any part of the footage at any time and not start from the beginning.

Did you notice that those methods involve some processes or some time in a production studio, cutting floor, or editing machine? In other words, they take up time? Not so with live editing.

Live editing – In this method, multiple cameras and other video sources are routed through a central mixing console and edited in real time as the event unfolds. There is no more post-process. A live television coverage is an example of live editing.

The advantages of live editing are obvious; you or your clients get the finished product immediately and you don’t spend any more money to pay for video editing.

Pay Per View Live Stream: Is it a necessary business compromise?

Live streaming is becoming an increasingly popular method of generating content. It is valuable for businesses and their brands as it allows the customers to get a closer connection to them. It’s useful for a variety of audiences from those trying to get their name out on the world wide web to businesses. Live streaming is a medium of content (video) that is very popular.

Live streaming does however come at a cost. Some larger organisations will seek sponsorship, product placement or similar to make the stream available to their audience for free. Covering these costs however, is not always that straight forward or may not be relevant to your audience or business plan. Testimonial videos for business

When last did you buy something of significant value without consulting a friend or family or going to the particular supplier without a testimonial from a trusted source? Video testimonials for business offer the opportunity for prospective clients to gain trust in your products, services and brand.

Testimonial video length

Ideally the video should be over within 30 seconds to 1 minute. This leaves time to include some fun footage from your offices/ location to introduce the film, a short, precise testimonial from your client and a closing slide with a call to action.

What to consider when making a testimonial video

When you are preparing for your testimonial video, it’s a good idea to identify who your best customers are and can one or two of them offer you a video testimonial? Ideally you would include the interviewees name, position and company so viewers know they are watching a real customer who is genuinely happy with your service.

Testimonial video questions

It will be easier for your client to prepare for the video testimonial if they have a few questions to help them along. These questions will also help structure your video and improve productivity during filming time. A few questions to consider could include:

How much money did you save?
Did our product/ service save you time and if so, how?
How many more sales are you getting?
Did you generate more phone calls and leads as a result of our service?
How many more business opportunities have you received?
Why would you recommend XX ?
