Frequently Asked Questions

How do our audience watch the live event streaming?

Our technology offers a few options on how to stream your event: Typically your viewers will watch by logging onto your social media channel or, visiting a particular link which has an embed code for them to tune into.

What is live event streaming?

Effectively it means we broadcast your event LIVE on the internet in real time. This can be broadcast through your own website, via social media (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube etc.), or other streaming platform.

What are the advantages of live streaming?

When you broadcast your event live, you provide an opportunity to substantially increase your audience. Viewers can watch online in the comfort of their home or office. If you have the facilities, your event can be streamed to large screens at a nearby location, creating another event atmosphere.

For many hosting a private or corporate event, your audience may be unable to attend as they are working, living far away or even abroad; they can now tune in online.

If you choose to livestream to your website, you are offering your brand the opportunity to significantly increase the traffic to your website. Having a bespoke page for the livestream offers opportunity to cross market other products and services you provide.

What if we are already filming our event?

Provided your cameras have an HD-SDI, SDI or HDMI output; our technology allows your cameras to connect to our system to stream live. Our technician edits the camera angles live and directs the video either straight to your chosen live streaming platform (social media, your website etc.).

How many camera angles will you film with?

All our packages are provided with a minimum of 2 camera angles. Our standard system can input up to ten cameras – these can be static or manned angles. Our vision mixer will ensure your viewers are watching the best angle at all times. Multiple angles help translate the event atmosphere to your online audience.

Can I have a copy of the footage?

All our packages include a digital copy of the livestream as it was seen by your viewers. We can provide you the footage from each camera for an additional fee.

Can we benefit financially from the event?

Yes! Virtual attendees can be free or, they can pay a one off fee to watch the event. We offer a digital copy of your event at the end of your event. You may choose to either sell your footage as it was seen on the live stream or, edit the footage separately.

How can we maximise our audience?

We recommend marketing as much as possible in the lead up to the event to ensure the best viewing results. Updates through your social media (Facebook, Twitter etc.), email, advertising in your newsletter/ collateral sent to delegates who will be attending, are just some of the ways you can inform your audience.

How do we know viewers are logging in and using the service?

Depending on which platform you choose to stream with, we can provide a report which analyses how many unique viewers logged on and depending on which solution you choose, which countries your viewers were watching from.

What is required and what will happen on the day?

Red Shell Productions require a wired internet connection with a minimum of 5mb upload speed. The higher the upload speed, the better the stream and this determines if we can broadcast your event live in low, medium and/or HD quality. Prior to the event, we prefer to conduct a site check to ensure the internet connection is fast enough. During our visit, we will ascertain a set up location and camera angles so on the day of your event, we will arrive and know exactly what’s expected.

What if my venue has no internet?

If there is no internet connection to your venue, we have a bonded 4G solution available for hire in certain locations around the country. If your area isn’t covered by 4G, we can hire in satellite for an additional fee.

    Testimonials

Roxy and her team at Red Shell have been our trusted live streaming partners for a few years now, and our clients always have great things to say about their work and service. We can vouch for them being reliable and great at project communication. Highly recommended.

I was impressed by the efficient and professional manner in which my several lectures were videotaped, audio taped, edited and then made readily available for viewing by thousands of UK students and teachers. Given the pandemic travel restrictions, this was the best substitute for my traditional personal appearance in London.
